Summer Hockey Clinics 2024

For over 25+ years, Twin Rinks Summer Hockey Clinics have provided the highest level of coaching along with elite training for players of all ages and abilities. It’s Twin Rink’s mission to provide superior hockey instruction for motivated players who want to reach their potential.  Twin Rinks boasts an elite coaching staff of veteran local coaches who are passionate about passing on their knowledge and skills to the next generation of hockey players.

Rookies (8 & Under)

A Hockey program designed for the novice & intermediate players age 8 & Under who have already been acquainted with a stick and puck. ‘Rookies’ focuses on the skating and skill development necessary for our youngest players! Tuesdays & Thursdays are composed of skating, skills, and drills. Saturdays are small area x-ice games & fun!

Prerequisites: Completion of Dynamites, Mini-Mites, Mighty Mites, or equivalent beginner hockey program. ‘Rookies’ Intended for 2018-2015 Birth year players. Younger/older players may be permitted pending approval by Hockey Department.

Twin Rinks Summer League

Monday Practices | June 17-August 19 | 5:20pm-6:20pm
Thursday Games | June 20-August 22 | 6:10pm-7:10pm *

Our Summer League covers all aspects of hockey skill development, ensuring a well-rounded improvement in your game. Monday practices consist of 30 Minutes of skating & skill training accompanied by 30 minutes of battle drills & scrimmages. Thursday’s players are broken into teams for 3v3 & 4v4 cross & 1/2 ice games. Goalie Registration includes weekly Goalie Workshop (July 1-August 19) w/ Mike Mammone. 

Prerequisites: Intended for 2018-2014 birth years. ’18 Birth years must be rostered on a travel team to attend. Exceptions may be made pending approval from the Twin Rinks hockey department.

Pure Powerskating

Mondays | June 17-August 19 | 6:30pm-7:30pm

This no-frills power skating clinic will emphasize proper edge control, explosive acceleration, weight transfer, and balance. Everything you need to be a complete skater!

Prerequisites: Intended for 2017-2010 birth years. ’17 Birth years must be rostered on a travel A1 team or higher to attend. Exceptions may be made pending approval from the Twin Rinks hockey department.

Goalie Workshop w/ Mike Mammone

Mondays | July 1-August 19 | 5:30pm-6:30pm

Small Group intensive goalie training led by local goalie guru Mike Mammone. Players will work on technique, positioning & compete level all in a great atmosphere led by one of the area’s most well-known goalie coaches. 

Prerequisites: Intended for 2017-2010 birth years. ’17 Birth years must be rostered on a travel A1 team or higher to attend. Exceptions may be made pending approval from the Twin Rinks hockey department.

Hockey Basics w/ Brooke Heron

Mondays | July 1-August 19 | 5:30pm-6:30pm

A complete skills clinic for house, intermediate & late beginner players focusing on skating dynamics, puck control and shooting. Each session consists of at least 20 minutes of edgework and skating drills followed by individual skill work with lots of repetitions. Coach Brooke is an exciting, enthusiastic coach with a knack for getting the most out of each player! 

Prerequisites: Intended for 2016-2009 birth years. Exceptions may be made pending approval from the Twin Rinks hockey department.

Skating & Skills Workshop w/ Jordan Brickner

Wednesdays | June 19-August 22 | 5:30pm-6:30pm

Join coach Jordan Brickner for this co-ed complete skills workshop tailored to motivated players looking for the all-in-one summer skate. Skating & Skills workshop promises a no-frills approach to individual skating & skill development. 

Prerequisites: Intended for 2017-2010 birth years. ’17 Birth years must be rostered on a travel A1 team or higher to attend. Exceptions may be made pending approval from the Twin Rinks hockey department.

Shooting & Stickhandling Clinic – All Ages

Fridays | June 21-August 23 | 4:30pm-5:40pm

Elevate your hockey skills this summer with our intensive shooting and stickhandling clinic. This program is designed to enhance your accuracy, power, and release in shooting. Players also see a combination of drills, exercises, and game-like scenarios and work to develop finesse, control, and quick hands. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to improve your shooting and stickhandling skills!

Prerequisites: Intended for 2017-2010 birth years. ’17 Birth years must be rostered on a travel A1 team or higher to attend. Exceptions may be made pending approval from the Twin Rinks hockey department.

Friday Night Pond Hockey All Ages

Fridays | June 21-August 23 | 5:50pm-7:00pm

Pond Hockey is one of our most popular & fun summer offerings! Play in small areas with lots of puck touches! Pond Hockey provides players an opportunity to just PLAY. No offsides, icing, officiating, scorekeeping, or coaching. Players are split into groups by age and ability.

  • 3 cross-ice zones
  • Rotating Regular shifts for equal ice time
  • Goalies Skate Free!
  • Supervised by Twin Rinks staff
  • Great for travel players looking for a fun extra hour of ice

Advanced Development 

Saturdays | June 22-August 17 | 10:10am-11:10am*

Elevate your hockey skills with our “Advanced Development” clinic, led by DYHA coach Chris Furtak. Intense, high-paced drills designed designed for motivated players looking to refine their technical abilities, strategic thinking, and overall hockey IQ. With a focus on advanced skills and game situational drills, participants will gain a competitive edge and elevate their performance on the ice.

Prerequisites: Intended for 2016-2009 birth years. Exceptions may be made pending approval from the Twin Rinks hockey department.

Shooting & Passing Clinic w/ Devin Edgerton

Saturdays | June 22-August 17 | 11:20am-12:20pm
No Class July 27

Advanced shooting and passing and techniques taught by Devin Edgerton. Edgerton has played in over 800 professional games including stints in the ECHL, IHL, and Germany’s top league, the DEL. Since beginning his coaching career, Devin has worked with numerous prep, college, and professional players both domestically and internationally.

Prerequisites: Intended for 2016-2010 birth years. ’16 Birth years must be rostered on a travel A team or higher to attend. Exceptions may be made pending approval from the Twin Rinks hockey department.

Adult Hockey

Summer 2024: Adult Instructional Clinic

Whether you’re a latecomer to the game, returning after a break, or just want to sharpen your skills, our program has you covered. We provide a friendly environment for players of all levels, offering personalized instruction and controlled scrimmages. Choose between Full Registration or Single Session Registration. Cancellations within 30 days of the scheduled clinic are non refundable. Absolutely no refunds are available on or after the first day of programming. Refunds will not be issued to no-shows or to players who leave the program by their own admission, by expulsion, or who cancel after the program begins. Please read program descriptions in full and be mindful when selecting your option and dates.

If a player becomes sick or injured during or before a camp the unused paid portion of the camp tuition will be returned as a credit to your account for a future camp/clinic. A doctor’s note is required.
