Twin Rinks announces new Hockey Director and Assistant Hockey Director

The Twin Rinks in Stamford is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Hockey Director and a new Assistant Hockey Director. “We believe that great coaches make great players, and both new members of our team have demonstrated exceptional talent in both teaching skating and hockey skills, as well as coaching competitive hockey teams” stated Robert Rode, General Manager of Twin Rinks.

The new Director, Chris Gragnano, “Grags”, played high school hockey for Christian Brothers Academy, where in his senior year he was named captain and was selected to the All-County and All-State teams. He went on to play hockey for Providence College and then joined the Green Mountain Glades of the EJHL. Chris currently serves as the assistant coach at the Gunnery, winner of the New England Prep School Championship in 2016-17, and founded Total Hockey Development to train youth and prep school players during the regular season and, collegiate and professional players in the summer.

John Miserendino, the new Assistant Director, has spent the last 10 years as a professional power skating & skills instructor and coach, and is currently the Head Coach of the Wilton High School boys’ varsity team and coaches with DYHA at the Midget & Squirt levels. He is a USA Hockey Level 4 certified coach and has served and Director of Youth Hockey at Sono Ice House where he was the coach of the U12, U14 and U18 Norwalk Roughriders teams. John has also served at the lead instructor of the New York Rangers Assist Program and the Hockey in Norwalk Foundation. 

Chris Gragnano noted that “the reason I joined the Twin Rinks staff was their commitment to developing high caliber hockey players, as evidenced by the investment in two full size rinks, a synthetic ice training facility, the best fitness center in the state, and a full service pro shop”.
