The comprehensive program features professional instruction, including power skating, skill development, game strategy, and more. Practices are at convenient times and teams will play 3 local tournaments. CT Breakers sets the standard for Elite Spring Hockey.

Twin Rinks is the home of the Darien Youth Hockey Association (DYHA), the largest youth hockey league in Connecticut. Since 1973, DYHA has provided a stimulating, rewarding and safe athletic experience for the children of the community. DYHA believes that participation in team sports can be an important ingredient in healthy youth maturation. All programs are designed to generate self-esteem and good sportsmanship through skills development in a positive social environment.
Formed in 2000, the CT Ice Cats are an established, competitive Girls hockey program sponsored by Darien Youth Hockey Association and New Canaan Winter Club. With thirteen teams from the U8 – U19 age level, the Ice Cats teams have won 6 CT State Championships, 2 New England Regional Championships and 1 National Finalist. The goals of CT Ice Cats are to field competitive teams, develop all players’ skills and knowledge of the game, and most importantly to have fun. At least two teams are offered in each age group giving girls at different skill levels the opportunity to play girls’ hockey.

The Dynamites Learn to Play Hockey School is a great opportunity for young boys and girls to learn more about the game of hockey, log quality ice time, and receive instruction from qualified and professional staff. The Dynamites curriculum is designed to teach the fundamentals of hockey skating to new players.

Twin Rinks is the home of the King School, a private school for talented, motivated, and able students who graduate and matriculate at the finest colleges and universities in the country. The hockey program has been at Twin Rinks since openning in 1996, and in 2016 the Varsity team won the FAA Championship.

Lead by Mike Backman, Hockey Director of Twin Rinks, and his staff, the Condors is an invitation only development program for motivated boys in the 2005 & 2006 age groups, and a critical time for serious players. The program provides the highest level of professional instruction and individual skill development.
